Science of Light MEL STEM Kit

Ages 5–9+ • 1 MEL STEM kit + AR app access 🛠️

Every phone and laptop screen relies on polarizers — but what are they, and what do they do to light? With the Science of Light kit, kids build their own model screen, watch how light changes as it passes through transparent materials, and create a secret image that only appears through their screen. The AR app shows how polarizers work in 3D.

What kids will do

• Assemble a model of a screen
• Observe how light changes passing through transparent objects
• Create a hidden image visible only through their screen

What kids will learn

• The nature of light
• What a polarizer is and how it works
• Where polarizers are used in everyday life

All-in-one kit — every part needed is in the box, and the finished model is a toy kids keep. Certified safe.
